How to Choose an FRT Trigger for Your AR-15

An AR-15 forced reset trigger replaces your rifle’s fire control group with a complete unit that uses the bolt carrier’s movement to reset the trigger after every shot. Every shot still takes its own pull. Most of the AR-15 FRT triggers we sell drop into a standard mil-spec lower without permanent changes. Here is what to compare:

Single-stage or two-stage

A single-stage FRT, such as the Rare Breed FRT-15L3, has one clean break. A two-stage model, such as the FRT-15C3, gives you a light take-up and a wall in semi mode, which many shooters prefer for precision.

Standard-pin or cassette

Standard-pin triggers install like a conventional fire control group. Cassette designs, such as the Partisan Disruptor FRT and the LAT, come pre-assembled in one housing for a simpler drop-in install.

Flat or curved shoe

Flat shoes give a consistent finger position. Curved shoes feel like a traditional AR-15 trigger. Rare Breed and Trinity offer both.

Check the requirements
